"No charges" for being responsible for the death of her own dog.

I'm sorry, but I do NOT believe the story presented by the husband that HE put the dog in the car without telling his wife and that is how this death happened.

Did she leave her cell phone or ipod in the car for 4 hours? I doubt it.

She should be forced to at LEAST resign her position as CEO of the SPCA....how can she be allowed to continue otherwise? Why doesn't she just move a little further south to Michael Vick's town where she will no doubt be given a parade in her honor?

This is the second piece of news I've received on this topic this week. I just did a quick check and yes, again, the site is listed as..."may harm your computer" by Google and my Firefox browser is also blocking the site.

If you take this in a positive vein, it may be the new sincerest form of flattery. Apparently ALIPAC, a small, North Carolina-based group, must be having an impact - somewhere - where I don't know because all I can see are more handouts and more catering to illegals.

However, if this blockage is true and for the political reason that President Obama and his well-heeled Google executive friends are getting ready to force "amnesty" down our throats, then Google, as we've known it, has ceased to exist.

Public access to the extensive information archived by ALIPAC over the last five years has been blocked on Google, by Firefox web browsers, and on Twitter!

"Google's own software admits we have no viruses or malware on our site," said William Gheen of ALIPAC. "The readings indicate that Google scanned our site on the 19th and we were clean and now they are arbitrarily blocking us for the second time this week. Our technicians tell us our site is clean and Google will not offer us any explanation or assistance despite mulitple attemps to reach out to them."

ALIPAC is now declaring an emergency and making the claim that the blocking of alipac.us is politically motivated and involves wrongful acts by Google employees or the broader influences withing the Google corporation.

All other major online virus protection services are declaring that ALIPAC.us is not infected including Norton Antivirus, McAfee, and AVAST.

Google Inc. Chief Executive Eric Schmidt is an active member of President Barack Obama's campaign. Google has also hired the widely discredited left wing progaganda group called the Anti Defamation League to police political content on Google and Youtube. Google employees that are H1B visa holders replacing American workers are regularly seen on pro Amnesty websites plotting against ALIPAC!

"We are seeing a clear and orchestrated pattern of censorship across American emanating from the Obama administration and the Open Borders Lobby that plans to launch new AMNESTY legislation within two weeks," said William Gheen. A tax on taxes and a pox on North Carolina

This is, unfortunately, my local representative's quote and another sign that North Carolina really IS becoming North "Taxolina." That Joe Hackney can be so condescending is not a surprise either. For someone who attends so few sessions and actually casts so few votes, he should really just continue to be seen and not heard. Hearing him does not help his image.

The budget proposal includes a one-cent increase in the state sales tax rate, raising it to 7.75 cents in most locations. It also would impose a 2 to 3 percent surcharge on the income tax liability owed by individuals with a state taxable income of $60,000 or more and couples with a state taxable income of $100,000 or more.

This is a tax on taxes.

They can call it a surcharge if they want but a tax it is. Just as all those illegals in North Carolina costing taxpayers millions if not billions per annum can be called "undocumented" - they're still illegal and still sucking funds from the State. This is how the State plans to pay for it all.

For those who don't read the full article, Health and Human Services is to be cut 29% and education, 10%...so the old "for the children" is nothing more than a lie....

Will have to dig deeper in the paperwork to see if the tax on affiliate sales - which cost many micro businesses their income a month ago - was left in this budget. My guess, based on North Carolina's money-grabbing, is "Yes."

Last Friday, President Obama’s Interior Secretary overturned a Bush-era forest plan that would have allowed thousands of acres of ancient-growth forest in Oregon to be clearcut. Greenpeace has been campaigning against the plan, called the Western Oregon Plan Revisions, since 2004.

That very same day, Obama’s Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack announced he had approved the use of taxpayer dollars to clearcut the ancient roadless forests in the Tongass National Forest of Southeast Alaska.

The Tongass is the crown jewel of America’s National Forests. It is the last great temperate rainforest in the U.S. and, in addition to the Alexander Archipelago wolf, the Tongass is home to grizzly bears, black bears, bald eagles, wolverines, black-tail deer, and timber wolves.

But the Obama administration’s reckless decision threatens more than just the Tongass it sets a dangerous precedent by allowing the first roadless area logging in the country since the Bush administration. By allowing chainsaws and road building in the Tongass, the Obama administration has drawn into question its commitment to protecting the future of 58 million acres of the last roadless wildlands in the United States.

Doing "his time" - half spent at his mansion in Virginia - when "time" is merely a slap on the wrist since many humans think animal suffering is not relevant - is not good enough.

Michael Vick is STILL the same low-life he was when he participated in and financially supported these crimes against animals. His celebrity should be used against him instead of for him and Roger Goodell needs to get a long and loud message for considering ANY level of reinstatement of Vick in the NFL.

Boycott the NFL and specifically any team that believes this person is necessary in the NFL. There are many other QBs out there who deserve a chance at success - Vick had his chance and he blew it. He wasn't a very good role model prior to the dog-fighting conviction.

Money? Vick needs a way to pay his debts? He can afford to hire a personal trainer RIGHT NOW - that doesn't sound like someone who is hurting financially to me....

FDA considers ways to short-circuit electronic cigarettes

What "tests"? Cited but not cited....typical FDA BS.....

"Tests show that e-cigarettes contain "known carcinogens and toxic chemicals," including diethylene glycol, an ingredient used in antifreeze, officials announced Wednesday during a teleconference. The FDA notes that the products have no warning labels."

So even if this were true - which is NOT proved, nor is it documented anywhere...is the FDA just worried about the lack of warning labels? Otherwise, what the HELL is the difference between what they are spouting here about e-cigs and regular cigarettes they have NOT banned?

FDA now wants to ban e-cigarettes

Here they go again...the good old FDA is now worried about smoker's health. This will be the first time, EVER, that this has happened. Too bad that the same methodology used to allow cigarette manufacturers to ADD addictive and carcinogenic substances to tobacco, is now used to decide something they have NOT studied, MUST be bad - and banned. Following the money has never been easier.

FDA Chantix Handling Betrayed Public Health

This is what the FDA has had to offer smokers who do want to quit. A rushed-through drug that they then found causes aggression and depression and actually does NOT even stop people from smoking. Patches? They don't work - period. A study was just released several months ago that specifically stated that nicotine patches have less than one-half the nicotine they would need to aid smokers, even if you buy the nicotine patch process as a non-smoking aid. I don't. But they keep selling them - a two week supply running somewhere around $58 - with a manufacturing cost of $10...follow the money - and the FDA smoke and mirrors....

FDA "Hazy"...

This was their level of comment back in March 2009. They were hazy for sure, but this article again promotes the myth that nicotine patches are "safe and highly successful" to stop smoking. Now, since there has been plenty of time for Pfizer and others to work the FDA about e-cigarettes, the rumblings begin to get louder and more aggressive. Perhaps the FDA en masse is taking Chantix?

The latest from the FDA...

It worries me that the FDA - the minions of tobacco companies, patch and gum makers, and pharmaceutical pill-pushers, has taken aim at e-cigarettes. Why?

No more "smokes" - no more revenue for the State and Fed - no more patches needed...

Because after smoking for 35 years, I stopped smoking 11 days ago - three days after receiving my e-cigarette package.

I haven't had the slightest desire for a smoking cigarette since. Is my body still getting nicotine? Yes. But am I getting the 3500+ approved chemicals, 200+ known by the FDA to be carcinogenic, in each non-smoke e-cigarette? No. Does the FDA care that I've been able to stop smoking where patches and gum have repeatedly failed? No.

After buying useless patches for nearly three months - am I having to support Pfizer by buying more of them for what - life? No. Does the FDA care about this? YES!

The fact that I've been successful this far is bad, bad, bad news for the FDA. Someone actually stopped buying the cigarettes that fund so much of the state and federal programs no one wants anyway by punitive taxation on cigarettes.

According to my calculator, I've now NOT smoked 269 cigarettes and saved $66.00 - entirely thanks to the e-cigarette. My e-cigarette costs will be covered very soon with this kind of financial recovery.

Do I plan on using the e-cigarette for life? No. I don't. But I have removed some of the major habits, chemicals, and obstacles by quitting "analog" cigarettes - a step in the right direction.
