Doing "his time" - half spent at his mansion in Virginia - when "time" is merely a slap on the wrist since many humans think animal suffering is not relevant - is not good enough.
Michael Vick is STILL the same low-life he was when he participated in and financially supported these crimes against animals. His celebrity should be used against him instead of for him and Roger Goodell needs to get a long and loud message for considering ANY level of reinstatement of Vick in the NFL.
Boycott the NFL and specifically any team that believes this person is necessary in the NFL. There are many other QBs out there who deserve a chance at success - Vick had his chance and he blew it. He wasn't a very good role model prior to the dog-fighting conviction.
Money? Vick needs a way to pay his debts? He can afford to hire a personal trainer RIGHT NOW - that doesn't sound like someone who is hurting financially to me....

NFL - "Walk on" re: Michael Vick
The Humane society may be willing to be convinced, but I am not.
Michael Vick got too light a sentence for his involvement in the death, torture and cruelty of hundreds of dogs - for profit. Who knew Guantanamo II was in Virginia? Apparently the light sentence - no more than a slap on the wrist - will be followed by more hand-holding - from very surprising sources.
Now he's out of jail - early, and living at home - at his 7,000+ square foot mansion. He's meeting with the Humane Society to discuss some vague plan about involving HIM with YOUTH regarding dog-fighting. Are you INSANE?
Wise up Humane Society, you are going to put an African American professional football player in an inner city environment to discuss dog-fighting? All those kids will see is a brother who committed criminal activity, spent minimal time in jail, got out early, and is living in a mansion in Virginia. If the NFL lets him play football again - that will be the final message these kids receive.
It's acceptable to participate in dog fighting...it's condoned not only by the NFL, but also by the Humane Society who will help you appear to do penance for your crimes.
And to you, Tony Dungy, who spouts that Vick deserves a "second chance"...He needs to prove he can become a decent human first before he gets a second chance at anything else - and proving it will take a lot longer than a few months and a few trips to urban areas which will no doubt be heavily covered by the media.
Maybe he should focus on that $20 million he owes. He wouldn't owe THAT if the NFL hadn't paid him so much money in the first place...now the NFL is supposed to help him pay back something ELSE to society? This is sociopathic thinking....

Goodell: Vick must show 'remorse' to play in NFL again
Can you say "blacklist?"
I promise I will never watch an NFL game again if Vick is reinstated.
Vick was remorseful once he got caught. This little "operation" was putting money in his pocket - he showed no remorse about that.
I'd check his Meyers-Briggs - he's exhibited pure sociopath behavior. If he was not, he certainly would not be writing a book about his "experiences" to put more money in his pocket and to make more dollars from the death and suffering of hundreds of dogs.
Not one, not two...HUNDREDS...
