This is anything BUT an "Eco" tour - don't let them fool you.
Do NOT support this business in North Carolina.
The introduction of tame horses into the small area left to the wild horses exposes the wild horses to risk of harm and disease.
There are some instances where humans and density is just not required. This is one of them...

Alaska Gov. Palin, ex-VP nominee, resigning
So, on top of all her other failings, she's a quitter.
Her attitude is that she is not as "popular" as she thought so she doesn't want to be governor any longer. Her decision not to run for re-election means there is nothing in the Governorship for her so out she goes with short notice - and with little concern for citizens of the State of Alaska.
Either that or someone somewhere has convinced her she can run for President - meaning it will take every second available to educate her so she can handle even the most simple of questions. Questions of the type she was not able to handle during the VP "tour".
The fact that she alludes to her "family" is a joke. She had no problem turning her back on the state AND her family when she thought she could be Vice President. This is the same schizophrenic behavior she exhibits towards the issues along with other political decisions she has made in the past...ask former Senator Stevens, who she was "for" or "against" depending upon the media...
She's most interested in extending her 15 minutes or so of fame. Not doing anything of value for this country.
Not sure about her Lt Governor's record, but I am sure animals everywhere in Alaska, and more than a few humans, are breathing sighs of relief.

Videos renew debate on military use of animals

As if there should need to be a debate. The military is currently creating enough "patients" already without having to do obscure experiments using animals.
Does this look like fun to you?
The military breaking it's own "code of conduct" in this instance? Nah, can't be - look how honest they've always been about everything else they do.
Ask Pat Tillman's family...

Long-term horse neglect at NY "Center Brook Farm"
Shocking cruelty case finds 177 horses mistreated at NY farm.
Mr. Paragallo has been charged with 22 misdemeanor counts of Failure to Provide Sustenance. Each charge carries a minimum sentence of up to one year and/or up to a $1,000 fine.
This is NOT my idea of a farm and horse racing appears to be the dirty and cruel business I always suspected it was...
"Failure to provide sustenance"...he would not even feed them.
There is a very easy answer to this person's abuse of horses. Put him in a small stall with the meanest, most mistreated horse the state of New York can find. The horses on this owner's farm are too weak and too starved to fight back.
These horses did NOT get this way overnight. If there is no regulation to protect them then the "farms" should be put out of business.

Finally, some good news from the White House
Obama overturns Bush endangered species rule
What a relief to know that Bush & Co are gone. Too bad the "clean-up" of their debris will take a lot longer....
